This will free up surface space in the square and reduce on-street parking, a particularly important solution in consolidated coastal areas where balance between residents, visitors and commercial activity is essential.

At surface level, the intervention will reorganise 4,500 square metres, creating a more functional, accessible and attractive public space. The project includes new paving, landscaped areas and tree planting adapted to the coastal environment, a children’s playground, rest areas and pergolas providing shade, as well as improved access to shops and hospitality venues, encouraging local economic activity and social life.

The aim is to turn the square into a modern, comfortable meeting point designed for people, strengthening the urban and residential character of La Mata.
